Russia is building a naval base 900 km from Ukraine, Budanov

The Russian base in Abkhazia has not yet been built, but the mooring place for Russian ships has already become a target for Ukrainian weapons.
Kyrylo Budanov, the head of Defense Intrelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine , spoke about the new decisions of the aggressor country, “Focus” writes. The base on which the ships of the Black Sea Fleet will be stationed will be located on the territory of the occupied part of Georgia – in Abkhazia, which is under the control of the Kremlin.
The head of Defnse Intelligence did not provide details of the Kremlin project. However, he noted that Ukraine will continue to control the sea lanes in the northern part of the sea. Also within reach are gas production platforms not far from the western coast of the Crimean Peninsula.
At the same time, as reported by the Foreign Military Studies Office (FMSO) of the US Army, there are currently no deep-water ports near Ochamchiri suitable for basing Russian warships.
