Turkey will fine Russian inflicting ships
Turkey has promised to apply sanctions against Russian ships heading from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Turkey will apply sanctions against Russian ships heading to Turkish ports from the occupied Crimea. This was announced by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, Ukrinform reports.
In particular, the country will turn back the offending vessels and impose “severe fines” on them. However, if ships turn off AIS, it will complicate the process of their identification, the minister emphasized.
Uraloglu also stated that there are 12 Turkish ships in blocked Ukrainian ports that need to be returned.
It will be recalled that USM recently wrote that the invaders plan to open a “logistics hub” in the port of temporarily occupied Mariupol.
