The Armed Forces destroyed the Russian ship “Cesar Kunikov” (video)

On February 14, at 06:04 in the morning, explosions rang out on the southern coast of Crimea. This is reported by the Crimean Telegram channels.

The occupation authorities hastened to announce that the Russians had intercepted 6 drones over the Black Sea. However, it soon became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine sank the Russian Large Landing Craft “Cesar Kunikov”. As of 7 o’clock in the morning, ammunition continued to explode on the ship.

The Russians sent another ship and a submarine to help the ship. Later, the locals heard helicopters over the sea. Presumably, the invadersare trying to conduct a search and rescue operation.

Reference: the Russian amphibious assault ship “Cesar Kunikov” was based in Sevastopol. Before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, it was involved in the KFOR military operation in Kosovo in 1999, in the Russian-Georgian war in 2008 and was used to support the Syrian army in 2015. For the first time, the Armed Forces damaged the occupiers’ ship on March 24, 2022 in the port of Berdyansk. The occupiers finished repairing the ship on May 14, 2023.
