The destroyed “Caesar Kunikov” had 320 missiles on board
The destroyed Russian Large Landing Craft “Caesar Kunikov” had the Grad-M system and 320 missiles on board.
“Cesar Kunikov” carried the “Grad-M” system, the ammunition of which is 320 missiles. Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesman for the Navy of Ukraine, said this, Ukrinform reports.
The spokesman added that the ship was built for the landing of marines on an undeveloped coast.
“For this, it has appropriate systems for fire cover on board, first of all, the Grad-M is the same Grad, but in a marine modification. Own ammunition of these systems alone is 320 missiles. That is, even without additional cargo on board, it is already explosive,” Pletenchuk commented.
USM previously reported that most of the crew of the destroyed Russian Large Landing Craft “Caesar Kunikov” died, according to Ukrainian intelligence.
As previously reported by USM, explosions rang out on the southern coast of Crimea on February 14 at 06:04 in the morning.
The occupation authorities hastened to announce that the Russians had intercepted 6 drones over the Black Sea. However, it soon became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine sank the Russian Large Landing Craft “Cesar Kunikov”.
