Poland may introduce an embargo on grain from Russia

Poland may introduce an embargo on the import of agricultural products from Russia.

Thus, Poland will study Latvia’s experience in introducing an embargo on the import of agricultural products from the Russian Federation and may soon take similar steps. This was stated by the head of the Polish government, Donald Tusk, Ukrinform reports.

According to Tusk, the opinion of his Latvian colleague is important to him in the context of Latvia’s decision to implement an embargo on Russian products.

Tusk noted that the surplus of grain and products in Poland and the EU, as well as unequal competition, is not only a problem of importing agricultural products from Ukraine. The market is destabilized by products, which flows from Russia and Belarus.

Earlier USM reported that Latvia demands to ban the export of Russian grain.

Agrarians from Lithuania joined Ukraine the day before. According to farmers, a much bigger problem for the agricultural market is Russian grain entering the country.
