In Moldova, agrarians demand the return of grain import licensing
Agrarians in Moldova consider it necessary to extend the licensing procedure for the import of grain and oil crops.
The Forța Fermierilor Association has sent a corresponding appeal to the Moldovan government, APK-Inform reports.
“We also draw attention to the fact that the free import of grain and oil crops carries a huge risk of banning the export of grain and oil crops from the Republic of Moldova to the Romanian market due to suspicions of re-export of products from Ukraine through Moldova,” the appeal reads.
The Association emphasized that the government’s inaction in this matter may cause a new protest by farmers in the country.
We will remind you that Moldova canceled the licensing of imports of grain and oilseeds. Licensing could be carried out for no more than 3 months. This term could be extended only once – for a maximum of 3 months.
