Romania plans to develop Neptune anti-ship missiles together with Ukraine, media reports
Romania, together with Ukraine, plans to develop R-360 Neptune anti-ship missiles.
In advance, the Romanian-Ukrainian partnership in the field of the military industry will begin after the end of the war, Newsweek reports.
Unlike the French SCALP-EG missiles, which are launched from the air, the Neptune missiles are launched from the ground and can target both land and sea targets with a range of up to 400 kilometers, writes Army Recognition.
These missiles have been used since the beginning of the war, in particular for the destruction of the Russian cruiser “Moskva” in 2022. They can potentially compete with the American ATACMS, the only other weapon of similar range used by Kyiv.
Earlier, USM reported that Ukraine increased the production of Neptune missiles 10 times.
