Bodies of 10 dead in Russian attack on civilian ship found at sea

During the search and rescue operation, the bodies of 10 dead were found – the pilot and crew members of a merchant ship attacked by the Russians near Odesa.

The bodies were delivered to the forensic medical examination bureau, said the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper.

He added that eight more crew members were evacuated to shore immediately after the attack.

“This is a terrible price that Ukraine and the world pay for peaceful exports. People were simply doing their usual job, transporting corn, and in no way posed a threat to the enemy. But for the aggressor there is no difference between a military facility and civilians. And this insidious strike is another confirmation of that,” the statement says.

We will remind, yesterday near Odesa the enemy struck a merchant ship under the flag of Guinea-Bissau. The ship, after loading corn, was leaving the Ukrainian port. Unfortunately, 10 people, including the pilot of the SE “USPA”, died.
