The grain exporter compensated the state for losses of 8 million

The company tried to export grain from Odesa port without documents of origin.

This was reported to the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine.

In August 2022, a company was registered in Kyiv that exported goods worth almost UAH 2 billion in two years, paying only UAH 7 million in taxes.

“The exporter tried to take out the grain from the port of Odesa without the relevant documents on the origin. The company did not show its receipt in the tax declarations and, accordingly, did not pay the necessary taxes,” the message reads.

During the investigation of the cargo, it was possible to obtain evidence of tax evasion.

The BEB said that the exporter, trying to avoid responsibility, declared pressure from the Bureau and the delay of the vessel. However, within a week he admitted his guilt and compensated the state for the damages.

It should be noted that more than UAH 8 million came to the state budget. The investigation is currently ongoing.

As reported by USM, the public movement Manifest42 recently appealed to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding corruption in ports. In the statement, the participants of the movement emphasized that the stability of the work of the Ukrainian maritime corridor is violated by the BEB employees.
