Freight rates for grain transportation continue to rise

An active demand for the shipment of grain for export led to an increase in the freight rates of “coasters from the ports of Great Odesa.

Active chartering of vessels for the shipment of grain led to an increase in the rates for “burners” by $2. This was reported by Spike Brokers analysts.

In the segment of vessels of the “handy size” type, the market remains balanced. Supply and demand are equal, so freight rates remain at the level of the previous week.

Rates for “Panamax” bound for southern China have also not changed. At the same time, on the market of barges from the Danube ports to Constanta, a consistently low level of freight rates is observed.
