Countries participating in the Food Security Summit will allocate $44 million for Grain from Ukraine
The participating countries of the Third International Summit on Food Security will allocate $44 million for the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian program.
This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The Third International Summit on Food Security was held in Kyiv under the auspices of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian program.
“Following the results of the summit, the participating countries announced further financial support for the Grain from Ukraine program in the total amount of about $44 million,” the message says.
The summit noted that thanks to the Grain from Ukraine initiative, our state has already delivered more than 286 thousand tons of food aid to vulnerable categories of the population in Africa.
“The Third International Summit on Food Security emphasized the critical need for global unity to overcome hunger, create sustainable food systems, and prevent the use of food as a weapon,” the Foreign Ministry noted.
USM previously reported that South Korea is allocating $6 million to support Grain from Ukraine.
