France is making a documentary about the Black Sea during the war
French film company Artline Films, together with France Télévisions, has begun work on a new film, Black Sea: Fight for Might.
The Ukrainian Sea Port Authority reported this.
The documentary, directed by Benoit Laborde, explores the geopolitical and strategic role of the Black Sea in the modern world.
“The focus of the film is an allegory of a chess game, where the Black Sea is a board for complex geopolitical strategies. This region is the key to global food security, because it is through the Black Sea that the main routes for the export of Ukrainian grain pass, on which the stability of food supplies in many countries of the world depends,” the report says.
In particular, the film highlights the consequences of Russian aggression, which uses this region to blockade and exacerbate the global food crisis. It also focuses on the position of a strategically important enterprise, the State Enterprise “Sea Ports Administration of Ukraine.”
“It was voiced by the deputy head of the enterprise, Dmytro Barinov, focusing on the challenges facing Ukrainian ports and their critical role in ensuring grain exports and regional stability. Thanks to this unique contribution, the film will convey a real picture of Ukraine’s struggle to maintain its status as a key food exporter even in wartime,” the USPA emphasized.
