Export of grain from Ukraine through Romania will be banned, – Georgescu
Romanian presidential candidate Calin Georgescu, who supports the regime of Russian dictator Putin, promises that he will ban the export of Ukrainian grain through the country.
The leader of the presidential race in Romania, Calin Georgescu, said this in an interview with Reuters.
According to him, he plans to ban further exports of Ukrainian grain through Romanian territory and stop further military assistance to Kiev.
The publication recalled that since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war in Ukraine, Romania has helped export millions of tons of Ukrainian grain through its Black Sea port of Constanta, and has also trained Ukrainian fighter pilots and donated a Patriot air defense battery to Kiev.
“All this will stop if I win. How can I agree to this? It’s impossible. Romania and the Romanian people come first. It is impossible to imagine that there is a war in the middle of Europe next to us, so the priority will definitely be that this war in Ukraine must be stopped immediately,” said Romanian far-right NATO critic Calin Georgescu. As previously reported by USM, the Romanian port of Constanta more than halved the transshipment of transit cargoes of Ukrainian grain in the first three quarters of 2024 compared to the same period last year.
