Due to a malfunction of the “Cordelia Moon” tanker, which was traveling from Yalova, Turkey to Russia, traffic in the Bosphorus in both directions was temporarily suspended.

“The two-way traffic of vessels in the Bosphorus was temporarily suspended due to the tanker named “Cordelia Moon”, which had a malfunction in the Yenikoy area of ​​the Bosphorus while traveling from Yalova to Russia,” the Turkish Ministry of Transport informed.

According to Marine Traffic, the tanker was heading to Novorossiysk.

In turn, the head of the Monitoring Group of the Institute for Black Sea Strategic Studies, Andriy Klymenko, noted the tanker has been transporting Russian oil from the ports of the Black and Baltic Seas since 2022 under different names.
