Two fuel tanks burned as a result of the attack on the port of Berdyansk, — media
The satellite recorded a fire at the site of two fuel tanks at the Berdyansk port pier.
In a photo taken by the Sentinel-2 satellite on January 10, a black spot can be seen at the site of two of the three fuel tanks at pier No. 7 in the port of occupied Berdyansk, the Center of Journalist Investigation writes.
The tanks could have been damaged or destroyed as a result of an explosion on the night of January 8, which was reported on social networks by Berdyansk residents.
As of January 13, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had not reported an attack on the Berdyansk port and the destruction of oil storage tanks. At the same time, the Gauleiter of the TOT of the Zaporizhzhia region, Yevhen Balytsky, reported on the morning of January 8 about a missile strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a fire in the port.
Previously, the Center for Investigative Journalism and the Berdyansk Resistance Movement recorded that the occupiers installed air defense systems and moored military patrol boats near the oil storage tanks at pier No. 7.
We will remind you that in March 2022, near the same pier No. 7 in the port of Berdyansk, the Ukrainian Navy destroyed the large Russian landing ship “Saratov”.
