India to purchase Russian Kalibr anti-ship missiles

India has signed a contract to purchase Russian anti-ship missiles “Kalibr“.

This was reported by “Militarnyi” with reference to the Indian Ministry of Defense.

Previously, we are talking about anti-ship missiles “Caliber” manufactured by the Novator Research and Design Bureau.

The number of missiles purchased, the cost of the purchase and the terms of the contract are not reported.

Currently, the Indian Navy has at its disposal two ships that are carriers of the Novator Design Bureau products: the Shivalik and Talvar frigates of the project.

Earlier, USM reported that another carrier of “Kalibr” was accepted into the Russian fleet.
