Morrichservice will provide new maintenance services for small fleets

The first step will be the introduction of expanded services in the Odesa Service Center.

This was reported by the Acting Head of the Shipping Administration Mykola Kravchuk.

According to him, from now on, in addition to organizational and technical support for command and rank-and-file personnel of sea vessels, shipowners of small vessels and jet skis can also be among the clients of Morrichservice.

“This became possible due to the entry into force on January 1, 2022 of the Law of Ukraine “On Inland Water Transport”, which radically changed the approach to technical supervision of small, sports vessels, jet skis and water recreational vehicles. Today, the assessment of the technical condition of these vessels is carried out in accordance with the Rules and Guidelines of the State Enterprise “Classification Society Shipping Register of Ukraine”, which is the official body of technical control,” the message says.

A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between Morrichservice and the Ukrainian Shipping Register, which provides a legal and organizational basis for the provision of these services.

The technical inspection procedure is transparent, as simplified as possible and complies with the legislation:

• An application is submitted to the nearest Morrichservice service center;

• A representative of the Ukrainian Shipping Register conducts the inspection of the vessel;

• The following documents are issued based on the inspection results:

• Vessel inspection certificate – to confirm technical characteristics within the framework of state registration;

• Inspection certificate of a small vessel / jet ski – in case of identifying deficiencies or inconsistencies;

• Certificate of seaworthiness – with positive inspection results.

“This is just the beginning of the expansion of services that Morrichservice is implementing to implement state policy in the field of maritime and inland water transport. We strive to make the service convenient, modern and accessible to all market participants,” Mykola Kravchuk emphasized.

Previously, the Shipping Administration and the State Emergency Service signed an MOU.
