Customs clearance at seaports in Ukraine will be made faster: what is known

The State Customs Service of Ukraine and the State Enterprise “USPA” announced that they are merging information systems.
“The State Customs Service of Ukraine and the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” have signed an Agreement on Information Cooperation,” the official customs statement reads.
The department said that the integration of the “Single Window for International Trade” with the “Logistics Port System (DocPort)” will ensure automatic data exchange between the systems without duplication and manual entry.
At the first stage of integration, information about ship calls from DocPort will automatically enter the customs information system. This will allow cargo operations to begin without waiting for manual entry of data about the ship call into the “Single Window for International Trade”.
At the second stage, it is planned to organize the exchange of data on the completion of customs clearance of cargo that arrived at the seaport on foreign-going vessels, underwent customs clearance and will be exported through checkpoints, at which control is carried out by the seaport administration. At the same time, the formation of a departure permit will be carried out without papers and human intervention.
Expected results:
• saving up to 6 hours of time for vessel registration;
• financial savings for shipowners;
• increasing the throughput capacity of ports, and therefore improving foreign trade.
We remind you that at the end of April, the implementation of the DocPort cargo traffic management module began in the port of Odesa.
DocPort also operates in the port of Chornomorsk and Danube ports.
