The Ministry of Agrarian Policy is changing the mechanism for determining minimum export prices from June

Following business appeals, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy is changing its approach to setting minimum prices for agricultural exports.

This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotskyi, reports Elevatorist.

According to him, the next update of minimum prices for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products will take place on June 10.

Vysotsky noted that the prices will be revised based on the latest changes in the market and taking into account the proposals of business, in particular the UGA and other associations that actively advocated for the removal of restrictions on minimum prices and supply conditions.

The Deputy Minister also noted that it is necessary to “see at least two to three months how it will work.”

“We will have the first case on June 10, we will calculate, approve. If it is obvious that taking into account this change, some more critical improvements are still needed, of course, we will initiate them immediately,” Vysotskyi commented.

He added that there are currently no threats to the export of grain or processed products. Despite some concerns, prices remain high, and there are no significant physical restrictions on exports.

USM previously reported that transshipment capacity in Ukraine is now twice as large as grain.
