A man was convicted in the Odesa region for passing photos of the Izmail port to the Russians

A court in the Odesa region found a local resident guilty of treason, who, in particular, gave the Russians a photo of the port of Izmail.
The Kiliysky District Court of the Odesa region found the man guilty of treason and sentenced him to 15 years in prison, writes “Intent”.
The court verdict states that the collaborator was detained in 2024.
In July 2024, in the interests of the Russian Federation, he photographed the entry-exit checkpoint on the territory of the Izmail commercial sea port and handed it over to a Russian representative, promising to monitor other strategic objects.
He also contacted representatives of the FSB and voluntarily offered his services. In addition to information about strategic objects, the man transmitted to the enemy about the movements of military personnel and warning groups of the CCK and SP, and also reported that he could and planned to set fire to military vehicles.
On July 12, 2024, the collaborator sent a photo of a checkpoint on the territory of the port of Izmail and coordinates from Google Maps. On the same day, he sent a photo of the positions of air defense units.
At trial, the man did not admit his guilt, and explained the photos of the locations and movements of military personnel with a “desire to show off”.
