Prices for feed barley are rising in Ukrainian ports

Barley purchase prices in Ukrainian ports have risen again amid limited supply and active demand.

This week, Ukrainian ports have recorded a further increase in feed barley purchase prices. This was reported by APK-Inform Agency.

The main factors remain the reluctance of farmers to actively sell stocks, low supply both in Ukraine and in the Black Sea region, as well as increased purchasing activity of traders.

The exchange rate also contributes to the increase in the cost of grain. In the ports of Greater Odessa, demand prices increased by an average of $2 per ton, to the level of 210–222 USD/t CPT-port. In the ports of the Danube, the increase was less noticeable – there prices are kept in the range of 206–217 USD/t CPT-port.

In hryvnia equivalent, barley has risen in price by 100–200 UAH/t — to 10,100–10,500 UAH/t CPT-port.

Also, the day before, USM wrote that Ukrainian export wheat is rising in price again due to active demand.
