Kernel reduced grain intake at elevators by a third

In the first quarter of the 2026 fiscal year, the number of grain cargoes at elevators decreased by 34%.
Agroholding Kernel reported a significant decrease in the volume of grain receipts at its own elevators in the first quarter of 2026 FY. This is reported by Elevatorist.
According to the company’s operating report, this figure decreased by a third – to 1.2 million tons (-34% y/y).
The company notes that the key reason was the late start of the harvesting campaign, as well as uneven ripening of crops in the regions. This negatively affected the volume of grain receipts at elevators, which were significantly lower than last year.
Despite the reduction, the elevator infrastructure remains an important component of Kernel’s business. In the reporting period, 1.8 million tons of cargo passed through the company’s export terminals. Of these, 75% were grains, 13% were edible oil, and the rest were vegetable meals.
Also, the day before, USM wrote that in the first quarter of the 2026 fiscal year, Kernel reduced grain exports by 15%.
