The seized ship “Usko Mfu” was put up for auction again: the price was reduced by 50%

The National Agency for Tracing and Asset Management has announced the second auction for the sale of the arrested vessel Usko Mfu.

This is stated in the announcement in the electronic trading system Prozorro

The previous tender was to be held on November 4. The starting price of the asset was UAH 4,958,880 (excluding VAT).

The new auction is scheduled for November 25. This time the price of the vessel was reduced by 50% – to UAH 2,479,440 (excluding VAT). The acceptance of offers lasts from November 6 to 24.

The vessel under the flag of Cameroon belongs to the Turkish company “MED VOYAGER SHIPPING INC”. The asset is located in the city of Reni in the Odesa region.

ARMA warned about a number of shortcomings that currently affect the functionality of the vessel: among them – wear and dents on the port and starboard sides of the hull, wear of metal on the deck, oil leaks, breaks in the deck ventilation system, wear of wheels and cover rails, etc.

Given the long stay of the vessel in the sludge, the technical condition has deteriorated – there are reasons to believe that the mechanisms have defrosted.

Recall that Ukraine detained the “Usko Mfu” vessel on the Danube due to ties with the Russian Federation. It entered Ukrainian waters after a voyage to occupied Sevastopol.

USM also reported that a Ukrainian court sentenced the captain of the vessel, who helped export Ukrainian grain from Crimea.
