Export wheat in Ukraine is getting more expensive, but sales are restrained

Despite the increase in grain prices, farms refrain from active sales, counting on further growth in quotations.

Against the backdrop of the revival of purchases by processors and traders, wheat in Ukraine rose slightly in price last week. Elevatorist reports.

On the domestic CPT basis, demand prices for food wheat of the 2nd class were 9.6–10.6 thousand UAH/t, for feed wheat — 8.5–9.7 thousand UAH/t. In ports, the range for food wheat has almost not changed — 206–214 $/t CPT-port, while feed wheat lost 1–2 $/t and was traded at 198–208 $/t CPT-port.

Demand from flour milling and poultry enterprises remains high, but only individual buyers currently agree to the maximum or close levels. Against this background, producers are holding back shipments in anticipation of a better price.

Also, as USM wrote the day before, grain export logistics have risen in price by 25–35%.
