Russians claim attack on port terminal in Krasnodar region


On the evening of January 21, drones attacked terminals at the Taman port in the village of Volna, Temryuk district, Krasnodar region.

The information about the hit was confirmed by the local governor Veniamin Kondratyev, writes LB.UA

As a result of the attack, at least four tanks with oil products caught fire on the territory of the port terminals. Also, according to the governor, there are injured and dead.

“There is a fire on the territory of the terminals, four tanks with oil products caught fire. 97 people and 29 units of equipment, including employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, are involved in the elimination of the consequences,” the Russian official reported.

According to preliminary information, the strike occurred during the shipment of oil products to one of the tankers.

The port in the village of Volna, Temryuk district, is part of the deep-water seaport “Taman” on the Black Sea coast. It specializes in the transshipment of oil, gas, grain and coal and is of strategic importance for Russian logistics in the region.

As a reminder, a month ago, UAVs damaged two ships, berths and a pipeline in the Russian port of Taman.
