About 16 thousand tons of oil were transported by rail to the ports of Ukraine

In February, the volume of oil transportation for export by rail increased – a total of 44.4 thousand tons of oil were exported.
This was reported during an online meeting of representatives of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” with agricultural market participants on February 12.
According to operational data, in February, 44.4 thousand tons of oil were exported by rail. This figure is 36% higher than the volume in January. Compared to February last year, an increase of 4% was recorded.
Almost two-thirds (63%) were transported for export through western border crossings, while 37% – towards ports.
In turn, the transportation of oilcake and meal in the export connection in February reached 86.3 thousand tons. Compared to January, the volume decreased by 7%, and by February last year – increased by 6%. The largest share (79%) is exported through western border crossings, while 21% is exported through ports.
As previously reported by USM, grain car congestion in the direction of Odesa region ports is decreasing.
