Transneft reduced oil flow into its system by a quarter due to Ukrainian drone attack

Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft has cut crude oil flows into its system by a quarter.

 Reuters reported this, citing sources.

Crude oil flows have been cut by about 250,000 barrels per day after a Ukrainian drone attacked a key oil pumping station in Tatarstan, which serves major oil hubs and ports, on February 23.

The station, with a capacity of about 1 million barrels per day, is located near the city of Almetyevsk in Tatarstan, more than 1,200 km from the border between Russia and Ukraine.

It is a critical hub for pumping and blending different grades of oil, which are then transported by pipeline to major western Russian ports, including Novorossiysk and Primorsk. The station is also an important hub for supplying oil to Russian refineries.

USM previously reported that Ukrainian drones had struck an oil terminal in the Russian port.
