Ukrport and the European Commission discussed the Danube Corridor and “Lanes of solidarity”

The visit took place within the framework of the European Commission’s initiative “Solidarity Paths – Danube Corridor”.
This was reported by the Association of Ports of Ukraine “Ukrport”.
On April 14, the leadership of the Association – President Dmytro Barinov, General Director Oleksandr Lesnik, Head of the Committee on Logistics, International Cooperation and Community Development Yuriy Dymchoglo – together with the General Director of the Neptune Grain Terminal (M.V. Cargo Company) Anatoly Sikorsky held a meeting with a delegation of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE).
The foreign delegation was represented by the head of the “Solidarity Paths” team Alan Baron and EC employee Ina Miskulin.

During the meeting, the parties discussed strategic steps to strengthen the Danube route. Particular attention was paid to the development of logistics as a reliable reserve in case of complications in the operation of Black Sea ports. The participants emphasized the key role of the Danube ports of Ukraine for the export-import segment of the European market.
Representatives of the European Commission highly appreciated the activities of the Ukrport Association, noting its significant contribution to the development of international cooperation and the integration of the Ukrainian transport network into the EU.
