Sunflower oil prices in Ukraine reached a four-year high

The cost of unrefined sunflower oil in Ukrainian ports has been growing for the fourth week in a row and reached about $1,320/t.

Prices for unrefined sunflower oil in Ukrainian ports continue to grow and have reached a four-year high. This is reported by APK-Inform.

As of April 22, demand prices for the product are about $1,320/t on the SRT-port basis. Over the past month, they have increased by an average of $30/t.

The key driver of the price increase is the growth of world quotations – both for oil and for the main types of vegetable oils, in particular palm and soybean.

Additional support for the market is provided by the limited supply of sunflower oil on the domestic market, which is accompanied by an increase in raw material prices.
