The shipping administration reported on inspections on the Danube and other rivers

Last month, more than 30 events were held on the Dnipro, Ros, Dnister, Danube, Turunchuk rivers.
This was reported by the Shipping Administration.
The Administration noted that one of the tasks is regular checks of ship documents, technical condition of vessels, certificates for the right to manage, as well as the availability of documents necessary for their operation.
Such work is carried out by interregional departments of the Shipping Administration together with units of the National Police on the waterways of Ukraine.
In April 2026, more than 30 joint events were held on the Dnipro, Ros, Dniester, Danube, Turunchuk rivers, as well as in the water area of the Kyiv Reservoir, Tylygulsky and Dniester estuaries.
In particular, during the joint events, checks of ship documents, qualification documents of the ship’s crew, and documents necessary for the operation of vessels were carried out.
The inspections revealed 18 violations of shipping safety rules, based on which administrative offense protocols were drawn up under Articles 116, 116³ and 117 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
As previously reported by USM, a British delegation visited the port of Odesa.
