A 45-ton energy storage system was delivered to Lviv via the port of Gdansk: details

An energy storage system was delivered to Lviv, which arrived by sea from Ningbo, China, via the Polish port of Gdansk.
This was reported by Global Ocean Link Ukraine & Lithuania Associate Partner Oleksandr Chornologov.
In a comment to USM, Global Ocean Link noted that in today’s conditions of global instability and energy security challenges, logistics plays a key role in ensuring the sustainability of Ukraine’s infrastructure. One of the practical examples was the implementation of a project to transport an energy storage system (Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Energy Storage System) along the Ningbo (China) – Gdansk (Poland) – Lviv (Ukraine) route.
The delivery was part of a large-scale project that included 10 containers and required clear coordination at all stages. One of the modules weighing 45 tons (hazard class 9, UN 3536) was transported in a 20’ SOC container with subsequent reloading in the port of Gdansk and delivery by specialized trawl to the final destination.

The implementation of such transportation is associated with a number of complex tasks: obtaining special permits, compliance with requirements for the transportation of dangerous goods, detailed route planning, as well as coordination of work between ports, carriers and customs authorities.
“Today, such projects go beyond the boundaries of classical logistics. This is a contribution to the stability of the country’s energy system, increasing its independence and ability to respond to modern challenges,” the company added.Earlier, USM reported that the trademark of the GOL logistics group was estimated at UAH 54.8 million.
