Since the beginning of 2026, Ukrainian seaports have processed 35 million tons of cargo, despite a sharp increase in attacks on port infrastructure.

The Head of the State Enterprise “Seaports Administration of Ukraine” Mykola Kravchuk took part in the UKRAINIAN TRANSPORT FORUM 2026 in Odesa, where they discussed the work of the transport and port industry in wartime.

During his speech, Kravchuk said that since the beginning of 2026, Ukrainian ports have already processed 35 million tons of cargo. Of these, more than 19 million tons are grain.

According to him, the Ukrainian maritime industry has been operating for the fourth year in conditions of constant missile and drone attacks, prolonged air alerts, and risks to shipping and personnel.

“Constant missile and drone attacks, prolonged air alerts, damaged infrastructure, risks to shipping and personnel are the operational reality in which the maritime industry has been living for the fourth year,” he noted.

Separately, the head of the USPA emphasized the worsening security situation. According to him, in 2026 the number of drone attacks on port infrastructure increased more than tenfold compared to last year. The USPA stated that they continue to strengthen the protection of port infrastructure and implement security measures in ports.
