The Ukrainian Navy struck the Novoshakhtinsky Oil Refinery in Russia with Neptune missiles

The destruction of the Novoshakhtinsky Refinery in the Rostov Region of the Russian Federation by the Neptune coastal missile system has been confirmed.
On the night of May 31, units of the Naval Forces once again struck a strategic enemy facility, the Ukrainian Navy reported.
As a result of the destruction, two atmospheric-vacuum primary oil refining plants with a capacity of up to 2.5 million tons per year each, as well as oil product storage facilities, were put out of action.
The Novoshakhtinsky Refinery is a key enterprise in the region’s fuel infrastructure and plays an important role in providing Russian troops with fuel and lubricants.
The destruction of the facility significantly reduces the enemy’s ability to provide logistical support to military groups.
The successive destruction of critically important elements of the military-industrial and fuel and energy complex of the aggressor state weakens its capabilities in the war against Ukraine, the Navy reminded.
USM previously reported that Ukrainian drones hit a Russian corvette in the Baltic Sea.
