Denmark responds to incident with Russian frigate

The incident with the Russian frigate, which fired flares at a helicopter of the Danish Armed Forces, was called part of a tendency.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, TV2 reports.

According to her, the situation is serious. At the same time, the head of the government does not consider it surprising that such an incident occurred so close to Danish waters.

“This is part of the trend that we are observing throughout Europe. Russia is becoming increasingly aggressive and self-confident, it has intensified its hybrid war against Europe. It is testing and challenging NATO. Russia seeks to intimidate and sow discord. Our response is to unite even more closely and strengthen the defense of Denmark and Europe,” Mette Frederiksen emphasized.

We will remind, on September 14, one of the helicopters of the Danish Armed Forces was fired with flares in the Gedeser area. Signal rockets were fired by a Russian frigate.
