Russians illegally exported stolen kaolin from Mariupol to Turkey


In the port of occupied Mariupol, a Russian ship was loaded with more than 7 thousand tons of kaolin. The ship is heading to Turkey.

The vessel “Victoria K” (IMO: 1041348) is heading to the Turkish port of Izmir, reported Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist for the SeaKrime project of the Peacemaker Center.

According to her, in occupied Mariupol, from June 22 to 23, 7389.54 tons of kaolin were loaded onto a Russian ship.

“The ship called at Temryuk to process documents, without cargo operations. Kaolin, enriched for the production of high-quality ceramics, was exported to the Turkish company APITOLIA DENIZCILIK,” Yaresko said.

The MoD Defense Intelligence War&Sanctions portal notes that the ship “Victoria K” (IMO: 1041348) is involved in the export of Ukrainian grain and coal from the TOT of Ukraine. Systematically resorting to shady activities in the Kerch Strait area, in the Ukrainian waters of the Sea of ​​Azov.

During 2024-2025, the ship exported more than 20 thousand tons of coking coal from the temporarily occupied Ukrainian port of Mariupol.
