The Ukrainian government is preparing a set of measures to diversify export logistics amid increased Russian attacks on port infrastructure and merchant ships.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretskyi reported this on Telegram.

According to the head of government, Russian shelling of ports and ships transporting Ukrainian agricultural products poses significant risks not only to exports, but also to the entire agricultural industry and the country’s economy.

“Russia is intensifying terror at sea. It attacks ships transporting Ukrainian agricultural products and port infrastructure. This poses serious risks to exports, the entire industry and the economy as a whole,” Koretskyi emphasized.

Against this background, the government is considering the possibilities of diversifying and restoring export routes, as well as mechanisms to support agricultural producers.

Ukraine is also working on a set of measures that involves interaction with the banking sector to ensure financing for producers and intensifying diplomatic work with partner states that remain key markets for Ukrainian agricultural products.

Government representatives have already agreed on priority steps, identified those responsible for each area of ​​work, and agreed to hold coordination meetings on a regular basis throughout the crisis.
