Turkish line Akkon Lines enters Ukraine
Turkish container line Akkon Lines launches service in Ukraine for the first time, at DP World TIS Pivdennyi container terminal.
Today, on August 26th, Igor Zhigora, Director General of DP World TIS Pivdennyi terminal, and Salim Ishil, Director General of Akkon Shipping, signed a partnership agreement. The first call to DP World TIS Pivdennyi is expected in the first decade of September.

We are entering the Ukrainian market for the first time, which is the leader in terms of container turnover in the Black Sea and has a strategically important location. This cooperation will give us access to the multimodal infrastructure of Ukrainian partners, including the network of the so-called dry ports and railway terminals. But in Ukraine Akkon Lines will bring an impeccable service and quality of services to the highest international standards, opening up opportunities for Ukrainian business to enter the North African and Mediterranean markets,” commented Igor Bogdanov, Director of Akkon Shipping Ukraine and Akkon Lines agent in Ukraine.
Regular weekly service will provide a direct and fast connection between the container terminal at the Pivdenny port and the key Turkish ports of Ambarli and Gebze.
