The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping has been included in the sanctions list

The countries of the European Union have introduced restrictions against the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
The sanctions came into force on Wednesday, March 9th, after being published in the Official Journal of the EU, writes BlackSeaNews. The EU also introduced restrictions on the export of navigation and maritime radio communication technologies.
“This decision will prohibit selling, supplying, exporting directly or indirectly marine navigation equipment to any individuals and entities, organizations of structures in Russia, for use in Russia or on a vessel flying the flag of Russia,” the document reads.
In addition, 160 people are blacklisted for actions that undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Of these, 14 are businessmen and members of their families, as well as 146 members of the Federation Council, who ratified the agreement on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between Russia and the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.
