At least five ships involved in grain shipments through the Russian ports of Novorossiysk and Tuapse have been attacked in the Black Sea.

Bloomberg reported, citing sources.

Four of the ships were attacked on Tuesday morning, and another on Monday.

The Russian bulk carrier Victoria V was attacked in Novorossiysk, which was due to load about 7,000 tons of grain.

The Marshall Islands-flagged Fehu was hit after leaving Novorossiysk with a cargo of wheat, but was able to continue its voyage.

The Maltese bulk carrier Elina B was attacked after loading about 56,000 tons of wheat in Novorossiysk.

After the incident, the ship continued its journey towards the Bosphorus. Drones attacked the San Marino-flagged bulk carrier Necibe in the port of Tuapse, which was due to load about 20,000 tons of wheat.

Another ship, the Liberian-flagged Anna S, was heading to Novorossiysk to pick up barley. After the drone strike, a fire broke out on board, preventing the ship from continuing its voyage.

According to Bloomberg, since July 10, drone attacks have completely halted grain shipments from Russian ports on the Sea of Azov. Last week, three terminals in Novorossiysk also announced the suspension of operations after a large-scale attack.
