China ceased to be the main buyer of corn and barley from Ukraine

In the past seasons, China was the main buyer of Ukrainian corn and barley. This season, China has significantly reduced grain imports from Ukraine.

Out of 9 million tons of Ukrainian exports through the grain corridor, China’s share is 205,000 tons of corn and 59,000 tons of barley. Independent grain market expert Andriy Druzyaka said this, APK Inform reports.

At the same time, according to him, the volume of grain exports from Ukraine at the end of October may exceed the indicators of the same period last year.

“The Danube ports currently provide us with a record volume of export deliveries – 1 million tons. “Grain corridor” is 9 million tons in a little more than three months. In October of last year, about 6.1 million tons of grain were exported, and this year, according to many experts, taking into account all the ways, we will be able to export up to 7 million tons of grain,” said Druzyaka.

From the moment the first ship was dispatched, on August 1st, Ukraine exported 9 million tons of agricultural products through the “grain corridor”. During this time, 397 ships left the ports of Great Odesa for the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe.
