A Chinese ship carrying Rosneft was detained in Spain

The Chinese tanker Linda I with a cargo of russian oil interrupted its voyage and called in Algeciras, Gibraltar on October 27.

The vessel was immediately arrested at the port – the Spanish authorities learned that the tanker had previously broken down and had been drifting for some time without reporting the problems to the port services. The crew of the tanker should have warned about the threat to shipping, but no messages were received.

Later, inspectors discovered other problems on board, including exceeding the limit of sulfur content in bunker fuel. A deposit of EUR 80,000 was placed on the tanker.
