The Shipping Administration has a new deputy for digitalization
The Cabinet of Ministers appointed the deputy head of the Shipping Administration of Ukraine for issues of digital development, digital transformations and digitalization.
On Tuesday, March 14, Serhii Maksimov was appointed deputy head of the State Service of Sea and Inland Water Transport and Shipping of Ukraine for issues of digital development, digital transformations and digitalization. Such a decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers, the head of the Shipping Administration Yevhenii Ignatenko reported.
Previously, Serhiy Maksimov headed divisions of information technology departments in national companies. In the period from 2020 to 2022, he was engaged in the policy of digital transformation and information security in the field of defense of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, where for his dedicated and professional work he received the award “For assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.
Prior to his appointment to the Shipping Administration, he worked in the computerization and information technology department at the Ukrainian Institute of Intellectual Property.
It should be noted that the team of the Shipping Administration is currently faced with the tasks of maximum digitization of all processes, including in the certification of seafarers.
