A new head has been appointed for “Ukrzaliznytsia”.
The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Yevhen Lyashchenko as the new chairman of the board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”. His term of office will last two years.
“By order of the Cabinet of Ministers, on the proposal of the Supervisory Board, Yevgeny Lyashchenko was appointed as the chairman of the board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” for a period of 2 years,” the Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov announced.
Before that, Lyashchenko held the position of a member of the board of the railway and was responsible for the financial block of issues in the company.
As Kubrakov noted, over the past year, with the direct participation of Yevhen Lyashchenko, a number of “actually revolutionary changes” have been implemented in the University. Among them: the transition to direct contacts with producers of energy resources, as well as the payment of two issues of Eurobonds for a total amount of $895 million.
“These and several other management decisions helped to preserve the financial stability of Ukrzaliznytsia over the past two years. In practical terms, this means supporting the defense capabilities and economy of a belligerent state. And what is no less important is the stable payment of wages to railway workers,” Kubrakov said.
Since 2012, Yevhen Lyashchenko held the position of financial director of Media Group Ukraine, and on July 1, 2014, he was appointed director of the holding.
In May 2019, Yevhen Lyashchenko decided to leave the company q to develop a career outside the group. In October 2021, Lyashchenko was appointed a member of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia, in this position he took care of financial issues
