A first flight of electric trucks with grain departed for the ports of Great Odesa

The route, about 800 km long, became the first example of using electric freight transport in Ukrainian grain logistics.
For the first time in Ukraine, a flight of electric trucks with grain set off for the ports of Odesa. This was reported by Elevatorist with reference to Oleh Shchehelskyi, an agrarian from Poltava region.
“A historic event! The first flight of freight trains to the ports of Odesa!”, — wrote the farmer.
The event was also commented on by Serhiy Shcherban, head of the Kernel storage department. According to him, we are talking about two electric trucks, which for the first time in Ukraine are to cover a route of about 800 km one way.
He emphasized that the key issue for such transportation remains infrastructure — primarily the arrangement of intermediate charging stations along the route.
Shcherban believes that the development of electric freight transportation in Ukraine can occur faster than the development of a charging network for passenger cars, given the current needs of the logistics market.
As USM wrote the day before, Ukraine can solve the problem of restricting transit to Hungary using ports.
