A marine grain terminal on the Danube was put up for sale

A private logistics complex specializing in the transshipment of grain, fertilizers and bulk cargo is being sold.
The price of the terminal is not disclosed, Expert AgroInvest reports.
The announcement indicates that the complex specializes in the transshipment of grain, legumes, meal, mineral fertilizers, as well as bulk cargo: diesel, gasoline, sunflower oil and others.
In particular, the terminal has its own transshipment equipment, a pipeline system, as well as a weighing complex, and can transship up to 120 thousand tons per month.
The depths are 9-10 meters, while it is possible to complete the berths and increase the transshipment volume to 300,000 tons/month.
“The territory of the complex is 17.4 hectares and another 6 hectares, among the berths – two operating, preparations for the construction of new ones are underway. The loading capacity of the first berth is 400–500 t/h, the second one is up to 1,000 t/h. Among the approved projects is the “Multimodal Terminal”, which was approved by the Ministry of Infrastructure,” the report says.
The reason for the sale of the complex was probably the reduction in the transshipment of agricultural products on the Danube and the reorientation of cargo flows to the ports of Great Odesa.
As USM previously reported, due to the resumption of work of large ports, military risks for shipowners are gradually decreasing, and the Danube is losing its competitiveness.
