All “Boiko towers” weere on fire in the Black Sea
Three gas and oil platforms – “Boiko towers” – caught fire in the Black Sea. These objects are under the control of Ukraine.
In the Black Sea, the “Boiko towers”, freed by the Ukrainian military from the occupiers last September, caught fire, OSINT analyst MT Anderson reported on the Social Network X.
The analyst published relevant satellite images on the social network. He also said that all three drilling rigs attacked “to the east of the Snake Island.”
As of August 24, the middle platform was on fire, and a column of smoke was coming from the third platform.
Previously, USM reported that the special operation of the Defense Intelligence to return the Chornomornaftogaz towers under Ukrainian control took two weeks.
It will be recalled that in September intelligence officers carried out an operation to establish control over the “Boiko towers”, which were under the occupation of the Russians since the annexation of Crimea. In particular, the Petro Godovanets and Ukraina drilling platforms, as well as the Tavrida and Sivash oil and gas drilling rigs, were returned to Ukraine’s control.
Before the liberation of the towers, the Russians used them as military bases. In particular, there were meteorological stations, weapons, equipment and many different types of ammunition.
Thanks to the operation, the Defense Forces got the opportunity to use “Boiko towers” to strengthen control in the Black Sea and prepare for operations in Crimea. At the same time, the enemy may try to return the platforms under their control, but the Ukrainian defenders are ready for this.
