An additional anchorage for Ukrainian grain will appear in Constanta’s port

In Romania, in the port of Constanta, there will be an additional anchorage lot for Ukrainian grain.

On May 17, during a tripartite meeting in Quint format, Romanian colleagues reported the completion of the tender for the organization of parking, UDS reported.

Last year, the UDS was one of the initiators of the project. Constanta terminals were not enough for transshipment of grain flow from Ukraine. Up to 600 grain barges were expected to unload for 30-40 days.

Since then, most Ukrainian agrarian exports have returned to the ports of Great Odesa. But the Danube direction does not lose relevance. American partners emphasize that the Danube is a reserve logistics that needs to be strengthened and developed.

However, even under such conditions, the parking lot will not idle. UDS replaces Ukrainian agricultural products with grain from the Middle Danube. The plans to deliver up to 200-250 thousand tons on a monthly basis.

The UDS offers a comprehensive service-river freight plus the boarding board in Constanta.

If the main export flow from Ukraine returns to the Danube, the anchor parking lot will become a rescue circle, which will greatly increase the capacity of our logistics model.
