Barge freight rates to Constanta have decreased

Rates for the transportation of grain by barges from the Ukrainian Danube ports in the direction of Constanta have decreased somewhat.

Rates for the transportation of corn by barge to Constanta decreased by EUR 2/t — to EUR 15/t. This was reported  in UGA with reference to Atria Brokers.

Rates for delivery of sunflower seeds to the Bulgarian ports of Ruse and Silistra also fell by EUR 2/t to EUR 21/t.

Thus, the cost of transporting 6,000 tons of corn by barges from the ports of Reni and Izmail in all key directions remained at the level of last week:

• freight to Marmara is 27-28 USD/t;

• to the eastern coast of Greece — 31-32 USD/t;

• to the Eastern Mediterranean — 35-36 USD/t;

• to the east coast of Italy — 40-42 USD/t;

• in the direction of Israel — 42-44 USD/t;

• in the direction of Spain — 46-48 USD/t;

• to Spanish Seville – 48-50 USD/t.

Freight rates in the Danube river ports remained stable. In the deep-sea ports of Odesa, the freight rate for handysizes also did not change.

Freight rates for the transportation of corn in hand sizes also remained unchanged: to the Mediterranean coast of Egypt – 30-31 USD/t, to Italy – 32-33 USD/t, to the Mediterranean coast of Spain – 33-35 USD/t, to Tunisia – 37- 38USD/ton.

It will be recalled that over 20 million tons of cargo were exported from the ports of Great Odesa during half a year of operation of the Ukrainian maritime corridor.
