DTEK will import another 60 thousand tons of coal from the USA

DTEK and the international company HC Trading have agreed on an additional shipload of 60,000 tonnes of American coal. The delivery is expected to arrive in Ukraine in mid-November this year.
Thus, today the total volume of coal contracted from the United States is 285 thousand tons, according to DTEK.
Earlier, the company agreed to supply 225 thousand tons of coal from the United States. In particular, the international company HC Trading (Heidelberg Cement Group) agreed to supply two shiploads of American steam coal to Ukraine. The volume of agreements with the supplier amounted to 150 thousand tons.
This is the company’s second contract to import coal from the United States. The first contact for the supply of 75 thousand tons of American steam coal was signed at the end of August.
“In addition, for the third month in a row, the company has been importing coal from Poland (two agreements were signed for the supply of 340 thousand tons of steam coal), as well as from Kazakhstan,” DTEK recalled.
In total, during September – October (as of 21.10) the company imported more than 278 thousand tons of coal.
