Estonian ports want to sell terminals of Russian companies
The Estonian government plans to auction the bulk and bulk terminals in the ports of Muuga and Sillamäe, which are owned by Russian companies.
Russian owners want to sell the terminals and use the money to restore Ukraine. Currently, such assets in Estonia mainly belong to the Russian companies DBT and EuroChem Terminal Sillamae, which are engaged in transshipment of fertilizers from the Russian Federation, writes ERR.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia should send for approval amendments to the Law on International Sanctions, which will allow the confiscation of Russian assets.
They plan to use the funds for the frozen assets taken from their owners in the Russian Federation for the restoration of Ukraine.
